A taste of Honduras
Honduras proudly holds the title of being the largest coffee producer in Central America and ranks as the sixth-largest coffee producer globally, boasting an impressive annual yield of over six million 60kg bags.
This coffee-producing powerhouse primarily exports its aromatic treasures to the discerning palates of the United States and Europe, where the demand for Honduran coffee has seen steady growth.
One of the secrets behind Honduras' success in coffee cultivation is its favorable climate. The country enjoys an average temperature of approximately 70 degrees Fahrenheit, coupled with bountiful rainfall.
Within Honduras' rich coffee landscape, three varietals reign supreme: Bourbon, Caturra, and Catuai. Remarkably, these varietals grace nearly 90% of all Honduran coffee offerings.
